Whether you’re planning to retrofit inefficient equipment, start a new construction project, launch a major renovation, purchase new equipment, or replace equipment at the end of its lifespan, BGE brings you financial incentives and technical assistance to help you manage energy costs and maximize energy efficiency.

Incentives typically cover up to 50% of the total cost for retrofit projects and up to 75% of the incremental cost for new construction projects. You choose your own contractor or service provider and have rebates paid directly to you or to the service provider.  All rate classes qualify to participate in this program (Rates G, GS, GL, and P).

• Measure Categories include:

  • Lighting & Controls
    One-for-one fixture replacements within existing buildings; one-for-one fixture upgrades for new buildings; or complete lighting design for new construction projects.

    Does your business use 60kW or less in electricity a month? If so, you may want to consider the Small Business Lighting Solutions Program for other ways to increase your energy efficiency and improve your bottom line.
    

  • Motors
    1-200 HP new-motor purchases or replacements for failed motors.
     
    
  • HVAC Systems
    • Unitary Equipment - New purchases or replacements for failed equipment, usually in smaller commercial and retail facilities.
    • Chillers - Large central air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial buildings.
       
      
  • Variable Frequency Drives
    HVAC systems in existing facilities.
     
    
  • Commercial Refrigeration Equipment
    New equipment upgrades.
     
    
  • Commercial Kitchen Equipment
    New equipment upgrades.
     
  • Custom
    Site-specific, cost-effective measures for retrofit and new construction opportunities.
