During the Home Energy Audit, the contactor will recommend a variety of energy efficiency improvements for your home. To be eligible for incentives from BGE, your home must meet certain requirements.
How do you know whether you’re eligible for obtaining incentives? Check to determine whether the following items are in your home and ask your contractor to explain.

ELIGIBILITY:
- This offer is valid for BGE residential customers applying through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program only.
- This offer is open to all BGE residential electric and/or gas customers, regardless of their electric and/or gas supplier.
- Projects must be installed in the BGE service territory.
- Participants applying for Home Performance with ENERGY STAR incentives must have:
- Central A/C Unit, Air Source Heat Pump, or other primary electric heating system, and receive electricity service from BGE
or
- Gas Furnace or Gas Boiler*, and receive gas service from BGE.
- Central A/C Unit, Air Source Heat Pump, or other primary electric heating system, and receive electricity service from BGE
- Customers applying for HVAC-only incentives should submit a rebate application through the HVAC Equipment Rebate Program.
- Certain eligible improvements have additional requirements; obtain a comprehensive home energy audit through a participating contractor to see if you qualify.
